What do you want to work out?
Your goal
New paying customers you want from ads in one month.
Your numbers
What you pay on average for one click. Google Ads shows it as Avg. CPC, and Meta Ads Manager as cost per link click.
Out of every 100 clicks, how many leave a call, WhatsApp message or form. Your website and offer decide this.
Out of every 100 leads, how many end up paying you. Your own sales records decide this.
Check if it pays for itself, and add GST (optional)
Optional details
What one customer pays on the first sale.
The share of the sale price left after the cost of the product or delivery, before ad spend. Needs the average sale.

How the calculator works out your budget

It works backwards from the customers you want, one step at a time.

  1. Leads you need

Customers wanted divided by your lead-to-customer rate.

  2. Clicks you need

Leads divided by your click-to-lead rate.

  3. Your ad budget

Clicks multiplied by your cost per click.

  4. Cost per customer

Ad budget divided by customers. Compare it with what one customer is worth.

The answer is only as good as the numbers you enter. Cost per click moves with your industry, your city, the season and how many others bid on the same search. Conversion and close rates depend on your website, your offer and how fast your team replies. We do not build in averages, because an average from other businesses is a poor guide to yours. Take the numbers from your own account or a small test, or book a free audit and we will go through them with you.

Ad budget questions

How much should I spend on ads each month?

There is no single right figure. Start with the customers you want, then work back through your lead-to-customer rate, click-to-lead rate and cost per click, which is what this calculator does. Then compare the cost per customer with what one customer is worth to you.

Where do I find my cost per click and conversion rate?

Google Ads shows Avg. CPC and conversions in the campaigns table. Meta Ads Manager shows cost per link click and results once you add those columns. Your lead-to-customer rate comes from your own records: how many leads ended up paying you. If conversions are not tracked yet, set up tracking before you spend more.

What if I have no data yet?

Run a small test budget first, then replace your guesses with the real numbers. A plan built on guesses is a range to test, not a promise.

Does the tool add GST?

Only if you tick the box. Google lists 18% GST for Indian customers, or 9% CGST plus 9% SGST within one state, on its payments help page (checked on 3 Nov 2026). Rates and rules can change, and whether you can claim the tax back depends on your business, so ask your accountant. You can change the rate in the box.

Are my numbers saved or sent anywhere?

No. The sums run in your browser, and nothing you type is sent to us or stored. If you choose to message us on WhatsApp, the message contains only the numbers shown on this page.
